Shares in Alignment Healthcare fell 12% in after-hours trading after reporting second quarter results.
Orange-based Alignment, a Medicare Advantage provider for seniors, reported earnings per share (EPS) of 17 cents, missing the 20-cent consensus estimate, according to the TheFly.com.
The company’s third-quarter revenue outlook of $1.3 billion to $1.32 billion also came in at the low end of Wall Street estimates.
Alignment’s stock dropped 12% to $16.49 in after-hours trading.
They closed regular trading at $18.61 and a $3.8 billion market cap (Nasdaq: ALHC).
