Shortly after 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 30, Homewood village staff members preparing for a community relief event on Martin Square cheered as power was restored to village hall — a little more than three days after a tornado knocked out power to more than half the village.
Traffic lights were working again by Thursday afternoon, too.
Their absence the past few days caused some congestion and confusion at busy intersections.
