Several residents of Freedom Village Apartments addressed the Homewood Village Board at the July 28 meeting, raising concerns about the living conditions they were experiencing during the power outage and asking village officials for assistance.
Freedom Village, located at 935 Maple Ave., is an affordable senior living complex with 198 units.
The complex lost power along with much of the South Suburbs after a tornado struck the area Monday afternoon, July 27.
