Srinagar, Jul 30: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg on Thursday chaired a high-level meeting of key stakeholder departments to deliberate on the alignment and implementation of major road infrastructure projects, including the Parimpora–Dalgate Flyover, Panthachowk Flyover, and the Srinagar Ring Road stretch from Panthachowk to Pandach. A threadbare deliberation was conducted on the proposed Parimpora–Dalgate Flyover, with discussions focusing on its alignment, project cost, anticipated impact on traffic flow, and implications for existing city utilities. It was decided to constitute a committee comprising officers from the stakeholder departments to undertake a comprehensive assessment of the project's impact and submit recommendations. About the Panthachowk–Pandach section of the Srinagar Ring Road, the meeting decided to undertake a fresh study of the proposed alignments to minimise the impact on residential areas. Earlier, the meeting also discussed the proposed road from Ring Road Part-I via Sheikhpora to Airport Road and its potential impact on adjacent BSF security establishments.
