Addressing the inaugural session, Dean Academic Affairs, KU, Prof. Shariefuddin Pirzada, emphasised the importance of engaging with India's knowledge traditions through academic inquiry. Dean Students' Welfare, KU, Prof. Seema Singh, highlighted Yoga's contribution to physical and mental well-being while also fostering discipline, self-awareness and social responsibility. Earlier, Director, CCAS, KU and Convenor of the seminar, Prof. Wahid Nasaru, welcomed the participants and highlighted the significance of organising the seminar. He said the programme was aimed at promoting scholarly dialogue on Yoga's philosophical foundations and its evolving role in contemporary social and cultural contexts. Seminar Coordinator and faculty member at CCAS, Dr. Parvana Bhat, presented an overview of the seminar and outlined its objectives.
