Srinagar, July 30: Northern Railway has extended the cancellation of three passenger train services operating on the Banihal–Budgam–Baramulla section until August 14, 2026, to facilitate scheduled track maintenance aimed at enhancing the safety and reliability of rail operations. The suspended services include Train No. 74615 (Banihal–Baramulla), Train No. Railway officials said the extension was necessary to complete the planned rail destressing and track maintenance works, which are crucial for ensuring the safe, smooth, and efficient operation of train services on the section. Passengers have been advised to make alternative travel arrangements and verify the latest train schedules before undertaking their journeys to avoid inconvenience.
