A9 Tomich Junction conversion to roundabout could begin in 2027

Tomich Junction, InvergordonTHE A9’s accident blackspot Tomich Junction could be converted into a roundabout next year, in a new bid from the Highland Council.
In a new planning application submitted by the local authority, the project would see the current staggered junction replaced with a four-arm roundabout.
The junction links the A9 to Invergordon via Academy Road, as well as the likes of Rhicullen to the north.
Tomich Junction, InvergordonBetween 2015 and 2024, the five-kilometre stretch of the A9 between Tomich Junction and the B817 Alness junction saw a total of 19 road traffic collisions.
