The closure, which is part of Southern Water’s ongoing wastewater network upgrades, has led to heavier traffic through nearby areas including Foundry Road in Anna Valley and Upper Clatford. Test Valley Borough Councillor for Anna Ward, Susanne Hasselmann, said she has been made aware of concerns raised by residents, particularly around traffic volume and speeding. She said: "I am aware of the community’s concerns and the traffic issues along Foundry Road in Anna Valley and Upper Clatford. He said: "I’m well aware that residents were frustrated, particularly those that have seen an increase in traffic. "It is inevitable that when you close a road there will be an increase in traffic.
