Bard in the Yard will bring open-air theatre to Manor House Yard this Bank Holiday weekend. Dick Hebbert, director of The Merchant of Venice, said: "For Bard 2026 we travel to Italy to bring you The Merchant of Venice. Elsewhere, Ilkley Playhouse is also offering a 10-week literature course, Found in Translation: The Outsider, starting on Thursday, September 10. For those interested in visual art, a six-week modern art course will begin on Wednesday, September 16, focusing on art along the Rhine. The cost of the art course is £54, with sessions running from 10.30am to 12pm each week.
