Marie Higham denied a charge of burglary as she appeared before a Crown Court judge this afternoon, Thursday, July 30. Higham was charged in connection with an incident that allegedly took place in the Newtown area of St Helens on Thursday, June 25 this year. Marie Higham, 46, of Prescot Road in St Helens, was charged with burglary and fraud by false representationAfter she appeared before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates’ Court last month, the case was sent to Liverpool Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing that was held today. The defendant pleaded not guilty to one charge of burglary and one charge of fraud before judge Brian Cummings KC. Higham, who appeared via video link, was remanded back into custody until then.
