myCityHunt, now available in St Helens, uses GPS and smartphones to guide users on scavenger hunt-style adventure tours around the town. The app offers up to six themed tours, including classic scavenger hunts, detective-style “Crime Game,” spy-themed “Escape Game,” and treasure hunts inspired by adventure novels. The app also supports spontaneous ticket purchases and uses a single central ticket for the whole group. The app also stores all tickets and vouchers in one place, and a personal player profile records points, tours completed, roles played, step counts, and a photo gallery. He said: "We're only just getting started with our innovations – in the coming months, St Helens will become even more of an experience."
