Ringwood County Junior School in Hightown Road, Ringwood, has lodged a planning application for a single‑storey support building tucked away at the back of its site. The new block would replace existing temporary shed‑style structures and provide dedicated space for special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) support. In a planning statement submitted to New Forest District Council, the school said the multi-use room would be used during the school day to provide extra support for SEND pupils. The building would also act as a “base” for the school’s long-running breakfast and after-school clubs, which serve children from the junior school and nearby infant school. The plans also include toilets and a kitchenette, giving Year 6 pupils their own loos next to their classrooms and supporting the running of the wraparound childcare sessions.
