(CBS 58) — Students in the Fond du Lac Police Department's Youth Advocacy Program brought history to life during a recent visit to the Horicon Marsh Explorium. Participants learned how Horicon Marsh, one of Wisconsin's most prominent natural areas, has transformed from the Ice Age through today. The department said the program helps officers and advocates build positive relationships with young people both inside and outside the classroom. "At the Fond du Lac Police Department, we believe some of the most important work we do happens long before an emergency call," the department wrote in a social media post.
