Officer cleared in fatal Forest County shooting

Forest County Sheriff's OfficeFOREST COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) — A northern Wisconsin police officer will not face charges after fatally shooting a Forest County man during an exchange of gunfire.
Authorities said officers responded to an apartment building for a report of an active shooter.
Police said Floyd Vanzile fired at officers, nearby homes, vehicles and a liquid petroleum tank.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation investigated the shooting.
The Dodge County District Attorney's Office later determined the officer's use of force was justified.
