Home security provider Brinks Home is warning customers that their data may have been stolen following a breach attributed to a notorious hacking gang. “The party responsible for this situation has threatened to release information it claims to have taken,” Dallas-based Brinks Home posted on its website. ShinyHunters, which you may recall was behind the hack of educational platform provider Canvas, has threatened to dump the stolen data. If the Company determines that personal information has been affected, it will notify those individuals as required and as appropriate,” the update adds. "Brinks Home will never ask customers to provide sensitive information through unsolicited communications,” the update says.
