Today, I hear similar concerns about early-career employees who are reluctant to ask questions in meetings. More than 4 in 10 say they’ve held back from asking questions because they worried they’d already asked too many. They ask questions. It can be as simple as recognizing that asking questions and admitting what you don’t know play a role in making better decisions. If employees learn early that those behaviors carry risk, we shouldn't be surprised when fewer people raise their hands later.
