The United States and Canada have joined the growing revolt against FIFA's plans to sell a stake in the World Cup, according to the Daily Mail. CONCACAF, the governing body for football in North America, Central America and the Caribbean, has strongly criticised the way the proposal was introduced. Europe's governing body said that the World Cup is one of football's most valuable global competitions and should not be partially sold to outside investors. FIFA plans to create a new commercial company called FIFA Forward Enterprise (FEE). The governing body has reportedly offered to increase financial distributions to each of its 211 member associations.
