The Manchester Bee has been part of the DNA of our city for almost 200 years and is an iconic symbol for Mancunians. Manchester City FC, always in touch with the people and history in our own backyard, released an away shirt directly inspired by the Manchester Bee in 2009/10 with a black shirt and yellow shoulder inserts. And on 20 July 2017, both Manchester City and Manchester United proudly had the bee included on the match shirts worn during a pre-season friendly in Huston, Texas which were later auctioned to raise money for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.
