A new community project is taking shape in Niles, spearheaded by the second cohort of Be Healthy Berrien’s Community Leadership Academy. The United Way of Southwest Michigan’s Zack East tells us the first cohort was in Benton Harbor, and now the new Niles cohort has been formed. And East says the new Niles contingent has announced the Four Flags Fit Club, a new group launching to bring Niles area residents together. The Niles cohort this week received a $3,000 award from Corewell Health to launch the new Four Flags Fit Club. East says the launch of the new Niles cohort of the Community Leadership Academy was marked with a celebration on Wednesday where members received the check from Corewell.
