On Wednesday Green Party MP Dr. Lawrence Xu-Nan heckled the foreign minister about his vaccination status during a debate in parliament. Why a foreign minister would do this is baffling. News outlets across Asia, including the Strait Times and South China Morning Post, carried news of the slurs against China dished out by the New Zealand minister. It’s actually quite weird to have a foreign minister trotting out this old white boy racist stuff like this.
