Delhi Man Held With Brown Sugar in South Kashmir; NDPS Case Registered

SRINAGAR: A suspected drug peddler was arrested during a naka checking operation in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday, with police recovering 5.20 grams of brown sugar from his possession.
The arrest was made at Pazalpora in the Bijbehara area during a routine checking operation, police said.
The accused was identified as Mohammad Irfan Khan, son of Mohammad Jahangir Khan, a resident of Bawana, New Delhi, who is presently residing in Awantipora.
Police said 5.20 grams of brown sugar was recovered during the search.
Anantnag Police said it remains committed to combating drug trafficking and protecting young people from the menace of narcotics.
