She continued: "I have already referred in some detail to the multiple serious injuries inflicted upon Isabelle in the weeks before her death.
"You deliberately kept Isabelle away from school and made a conscious and deliberate decision to prevent her getting medical help.
"When after a protracted delay, medical help was finally obtained, it was discovered that she had a leg fracture.
