From GRAND RAPIDS HISTORICAL SOCIETYThe Grand Rapids Historical Society has announced a 250th lecture series celebrating 250 years of American history. The programs arranged chronologically from Fallen Timers to the Vietnam War are taking place from April through October. The next lecture will be given in the old firehouse at 24232 Front St. in Grand Rapids. He specializes in early American history and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Toledo, where he studied multinational interactions in the nineteenth-century Great Lakes region. There will be 13 programs presented as part of this lecture series.
