SIOUX FALLS — A Sioux Falls man has been charged with attempted first-degree murder after police say he shot another man multiple times over a dispute. The victim was taken to a Sioux Falls hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. While searching the area for a suspect, authorities located 37-year-old Querreterrion Payne, of Sioux Falls, near Rice Street and Duluth Avenue. None of those four criminal cases included post-conviction jail time, as orders for confinement either suspended jail time or credited him for time already served. In each of his three most recent cases, court records show child abuse and simple domestic assault charges against Payne were dismissed.
