Emily Moreno, the ex-wife Rep. Max Miller, R-Ohio, on Thursday filed a restraining order against the lawmaker, alleging that Miller had laid hands upon her counsel and threatened them. Miller, she said, "has harassed, threatened, and communicated directly with my counsel" and "physically touched my counsel without consent." "Unless restrained, [Miller] will continue to harass, threaten, and communicate with my counsel directly," the court filing reads. Moreno has alleged that Miller physically abused her, including by placing a gun to her head and pouring hot water on her. Moreno is the daughter of Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, who has not commented on the allegations as of press time.
