A man was killed after a tree apparently fell on him in Northwest Indiana on Wednesday, authorities said. That man then led William and the two others to an area in the woods where a tree had fallen on a man who was an associate of the person asking for help, authorities said. The four of them tried to lift the tree of the off the man but weren't able to, so they then called 911, authorities said. While William and his companions called 911, the man who asked them for help left the scene, authorities said. The officer later confirmed that the man was “deceased and beyond help, his head pinned underneath a large tree that had seemingly fallen on top of him,” authorities said.
