One of the largest music festivals in the world is back at Grant Park in downtown Chicago, bringing thousands of music fans together. Festivalgoers told NBC Chicago they’re spending a lot of money this weekend but said it’s worth every penny for what they consider an unforgettable experience. “I tell my friends I don’t care about my birthday, I don’t care about Christmas I don’t even care about Easter, as long as I get to do Lollapalooza, my year is set.” “I thrift a lot of my clothes, so I’d say I’d spent a total on all of my outfits for the weekend, probably maybe $150.” “It’s the thing before we go back to college and stuff like that—this is the big event that we look forward to.”
