This round of Muskingum County Tourism Development Grants totaled $3,500 that will help fund community events. The Muskingum County Tourism Grant is funded through county lodging taxes that are paid by businesses like hotels and Airbnbs. That tax revenue is then reinvested directly into initiatives that encourage travel, increase visitor spending, and support local tourism partners.
