(ABC 6 News) — Members of the homeless population may see themselves represented in a new mural painting near downtown Rochester.
Painters are creating a mural piece beneath a bridge on Center Street along the Zumbro River.
The TABLE is working with a husband-and-wife painting duo, Alejandro and Shelby Castañon, to create a painting that accurately represents the homeless experience.
Alejandro explained the concept behind the mural, choosing cool colors to represent the nighttime homeless experience.
The Zumbro Valley Medical Society and The TABLE gained permission from the city of Rochester to create a mural on city property.
