Press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:On July 30, 2026, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Jake Jakubowski was last seen leaving the Mountain of Mercy facility in the Mattole area. Jake has a reported medical condition that may affect his perception, judgment, or ability to safely care for himself, making him an at-risk missing person. Out of respect for his privacy, no additional medical information is being released. Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies are currently canvassing the area in an attempt to locate Mr. Jakubowski. Anyone who has seen Jake or has information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office immediately at (707) 445-7251.
