FARGO — Juan Fernandez and Andy Nelson both belted home runs to help spark the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks to an 8-2 victory against the Lincoln Saltdogs on Thursday before 3,390 fans at Newman Outdoor Field.
Fernandez hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning, while Nelson added a three-run blast in the sixth.
ADVERTISEMENTRedHawks starter Matt Walker pitched six innings, allowing one earned run on four hits.
He struck out four and walked two to earn the victory.
The RedHawks (34-30) next play Sioux City at 7:02 p.m. Friday, July 31, at Newman Outdoor Field, starting a three-game series.
