Residents in Brynmawr have been told to be aware of rogue traders offering to complete gardening work for a set price. Members of the public are being told to check references of any work men and to ask for quotes before the work starts. A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: "Residents of Brynmawr, please be aware that we have received reports of Rouge traders offering to complete gardening work for a set price and then increasing the price once the work has been started. Anyone who has been victim to this type of incident is being advised to contact Gwent Police by calling 101. The spokesperson added: "If you have been a victim of this type of incident please report to 101".
