The arrest follows reports of an altercation on Bridge Street at around 7.05pm on Sunday, July 26, in which a man was described as pushing and kicking another individual. Officers confirmed that a 50-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of assault, and he remains in police custody at this time.
