Kerugoya High Court has stopped the vetting of two newly nominated Teachers Service Commission (TSC) officials, just days after President William Ruto named them to the powerful education body.
In a conservative order shared to Kenyans.co.ke on July 30, Justice Joyce Mkambe Gandani issued the order, barring the TSC from considering, vetting, or approving the nominations of Wilson Sossion and Antonina Lentoijoni as commissioners.
President William Ruto TSC commissioners appointees, Wilson Sossion (left) and Antonina Lentoijoni (right).
She then granted a conservatory order lasting 21 days, effectively freezing any vetting process touching on Sossion and Lentoijoni's appointment.
This means the TSC cannot move forward with approving either candidate until the court gives further direction on the matter.
