The spokesman for former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Ladipo Johnson, has said the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, is unhappy over the leadership crisis rocking the OK Movement.
He appealed to members of the movement to remain focused on strengthening the group’s grassroots structures instead of allowing internal disagreements to weaken the coalition’s objective.
According to him, the crisis arose from differences between some members and the movement’s leadership, adding that efforts were underway to resolve the issues amicably.
Johnson also revealed that Obi had been informed of the situation and was displeased with the developments.
The comments come amid reports of leadership disagreements within the OK Movement, a political platform established to mobilise support for the proposed alliance between Obi and Kwankwaso ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
