The Bermuda national record holder had a consistent series of throws but did not match the 51.10m record she set earlier this month. With four measured throws, and two no throws, DeRosa was pleased with her achievement. During the morning session, Jah-Nhai Perinchief secured a slot in Saturday’s triple jump final with a qualifying distance of 16.01 metres. Caitlyn Bobb battled to seventh in her women’s 400m semi-final, in a time of 55.17, missing out on the final.
