The Twinkle Star Trail has been launched at High Woods Country Park, offering visitors a family-friendly route inspired by sisters Jane and Ann Taylor, who are best known for writing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star".
The trail was officially opened by the mayor of Colchester alongside representatives from Colchester City Council and project partners.
Jane and Ann Taylor lived in Colchester and are believed to have spent time exploring High Woods, inspiring a new attraction that combines history, nature and outdoor adventure.
Visitors can follow a short route around the park, stopping at five trail markers inspired by the sisters' nature-themed poetry.
The Twinkle Star Trail is now open to visitors at High Woods Country Park.
