Chinese artificial intelligence developer Moonshot AI has raised USD 3.5 billion in its latest funding round, lifting its valuation to USD 35 billion, as first reported by Bloomberg. Moonshot entered the round at a pre-money valuation of USD 31.5 billion and initially sought to raise USD 1–2 billion, according to reports. It is seeking to complete the round at a pre-money valuation of USD 50 billion. Its investors include Chinese internet companies Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Meituan; venture capital firms HSG, IDG Capital, Capital Today, 5Y Capital, Gaorong Ventures, and YF Capital; and strategic investors such as China Mobile, Andon Health, and 37 Interactive Entertainment. At the USD 50 billion pre-money valuation it is seeking for the pre-IPO round, Moonshot would be valued at more than ten times the USD 4.3 billion recorded during its Series C round in 2025.
