South Haven Area Emergency Services says it’s been responding to numerous calls about a smell of natural gas in homes and businesses throughout the community today. SHAES says this has been an ongoing issue in recent days. Distributor Michigan Gas Utilities says the mechanism used to add an odorant to the gas, which has no odor itself, has been malfunctioning causing the smell to occur.
