Phelps Bondaroff launches re-election campaign, touting focus on housing, transportation, healthcare, and community-building. Phelps Bondaroff said that this engagement has been very important to him as a councilor, and that it has led to much of his advocacy work. In his last term, Phelps Bondaroff “mobilized 13 municipalities” to lobby the provincial government to recognize housing as a human right. Phelps Bondaroff said according to the council’s most recent climate report, the average annual transportation cost per household is $28 344. Phelps Bondaroff helped co-found the Family Doctors for Saanich campaign, a grassroots initiative which he participates in outside of his elected capacity.
