The Y2C service, running between Yate and Cribbs Causeway, will soon include stops in Iron Acton, Westerleigh Road, parts of Ladden Garden Village, and Rodford Way.
The extended service, which replaces the 918 route, aims to better connect residents to Yate town centre and surrounding areas.
Improvements to the Y2C, hailed as a 'lifeline' for patients, students and shoppers to get to Yate town centre, have been welcomed (Image: WECA)The 525 route between Yate and Westerleigh will also remain in operation.
"Reliable and accessible bus services are vital for helping residents get to work, education, healthcare, shopping and leisure opportunities, as well as connecting rural communities and new housing developments.
"We are particularly pleased that not only is the former Y2C service being continued, but the 918 school service from Severn Beach to Castle School is being incorporated into the service, giving parents and pupils three years of certainty.
