Siri AI is free to use, but the Apple CEO revealed in a call with investors that the company is considering making heavy users of the AI pay for additional access through an iCloud+ plan.
Heavy Siri AI users could pay moreDuring the call, an analyst asked whether Apple had considered charging customers for Siri AI, given the cost that the company is absorbing to provide the service to customers.
Apple has so far resisted following that model, positioning Apple Intelligence and Siri AI as built-in features of compatible devices.
Not happening anytime soonDespite Cook’s comments to investors, Apple has not announced any fees for Siri AI or Apple Intelligence.
