A specialist British law enforcement team has put 108 organized crime figures behind bars for a combined 851 years and seized drugs worth up to $93.6 million since 2021, the National Crime Agency (NCA) announced. The Merseyside Organized Crime Partnership, which combines NCA and local police officers, also seized 33 firearms and secured the forfeiture of $2.4 million in criminal cash. Authorities identified another $68.1 million in criminal proceeds that remain subject to confiscation proceedings. Those convicted included members of a cocaine delivery service that advertised to about 9,000 contacts in Liverpool, a crime boss who plotted to smuggle a ton of cocaine, and a man caught with the United Kingdom’s largest single ketamine seizure.
