The Dillon Town Council received three applications for a vacant seat on the town’s economic advisory committee, and two of them attended a July 21 council work session for interviews. Born in Summit County, Johnston said she moved back to the county around nine years ago to start her business. She became more involved in Dillon town issues after attending the town’s community forums that wrapped up in February. She said the committee can act as the conduit to bring that information to the Town Council. Johnston told the council it would have been hard for the tourist to figure out that route themselves without her advice.
