As reported by the Daily Echo, Tameri Fon, was jailed for two years and eight months for defrauding DP World in Southampton out of £322,347.74 between July and November 2023. Fon worked in the company's accounts department when 13 fraudulent payments were made to third-party accounts. PC Mathew King, from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary’s Economic Crime Unit, said he was “pleased to see” Tameri Fon face prison for systematically stealing from container port operator DP World in Southampton. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary’s Economic Crime Unit traced 13 fraudulent payments from DP World to Fon’s business account. DP World operates Southampton’s main container terminal, the UK’s second-largest container facility.
