Lincoln County Supervisors: Cost, closing, property sale

County supervisors considered closing a road, heard financial updates, and sold surplus property during the board’s most recent meeting.
On July 20, the Lincoln County Board of Supervisors heard a request from Dade Lane residents Angela and Katie Smith to close the road and remove it from the public registry.
With the Smiths’ assurance that no one who lived along Dade Lane had not yet been contacted, the board approved scheduling a public hearing on the matter.
Surplus propertyA small parcel of surplus property on Brignall Road was advertised for sale by the County recently, and bids received.
Only one bid was submitted for the property — a small section attorney Greg Malta said had originally been railroad property then deeded to the County, but too small to develop.
