Inside Self-Storage (ISS) has released its 2026 Top-Operators Lists, revealing 100 of the industry’s most prevalent facility and brand owners and 50 of the most notable management firms, all ranked by rentable square footage. Simple list rankings are viewable on the ISS website, while detailed results are featured in the September issue of ISS Magazine. The lists provide data on owned vs. managed self-storage facilities for companies that do both, with breakouts for number of facilities, units and square footage for each. A gallery summarizing findings from the 2026 lists is also viewable online, providing an inside look at company movement in the latest ranks.
