Paso-based child actor Quinn Newman, 10, has been cast in the title role, and what’s incredible is she’s been coached by Gabriella Pizzolo, who portrayed Matilda on Broadway and stars as Suzie on Netflix’s Stranger Things. “Working with Quinn on the material for Matilda has been such a wonderful process,” Pizzolo said in a press release. “It’s a difficult role to prepare, but Quinn is very talented, and I’m so excited to see what she brings to it. “What I love most about Matilda is that she never stops believing she can make a difference,” Newman added.
