The chief executive of the Port of Aberdeen said urgent action is needed for the city to benefit from the “generational opportunity” of offshore wind.
Bob Sanguinetti said port activity at scale remains “frustratingly out of reach”.
Responding, energy minister Stephen Gethins said the Scottish Government had increased its resources across planning and consenting to progress offshore wind projects.
He said: “Scotland has a potential offshore wind project pipeline of over 40 gigawatts.
“Scottish Ministers are committed to delivering timely and robust determinations for offshore wind farm projects and have increased resourcing across planning and consenting to facilitate this.”
