The Chillicothe City Council approved four ordinances during its July 27 meeting, including measures related to fire department renovations, power plant equipment and improvements at a city park. One ordinance approved the lowest responsible bid from Chillicothe Plumbing Supply for building materials and required plumbing fixtures at a cost of $22,640.48. A second ordinance awarded the lowest responsible bid to James Carpet and Design LLC for flooring and cove base installation for $2,843.92. Because no other bids were received, council members agreed to consider an ordinance at the next meeting to approve that proposal. Airport Manager Toby Calivere updated the council on activity at Chillicothe Municipal Airport during the annual Oshkosh aviation event in Wisconsin.
